Thank you for your interested in organizing a private class here in our creative studio. We love inspiring people of all ages and allow themselves a few stress-free hours while making their pinterest board come to life. Here are some guidelines to consider when booking a class.
We have three different types of private classes….
SELF PAY PRIVATE CLASS: This type of class is when each participant is required to register and pay for themselves. With this type of class, a private class listing will be made on our website and each participant can register. If the minimum is NOT MET ($200) within 7 days of the class, the organizer will be contacted and they will have 2 days to meet the minimum or refunds will be issued and the class will be cancelled.
SINGLE PAYER PRIVATE CLASS: This is when the organizer is paying for their group (birthday party, etc.). In this case the deposit will be required in the amount of $100 (half of the minimum) and this deposit is not refundable. The balance of the class fee will be due the day of the class. Cash or Credit Card is the preferred payment method.
OFF SITE PRIVATE CLASS: While we prefer to keep the mess at our place, we know that it’s not always possible to bring your group or office to us! In this case we will gladly come to you. The cost per project is the same, however we do have a $300 minimum and a $40 travel fee, up to 30 miles from 33570 zip code. A nonrefundable deposit of $150 is required with the balance due the day of the class. Cash or Credit Card preferred however check will be accepted if from a business account. All checks are to made payable to: Shell Point Cottage.
What is your minimum class fee? Our minimum for a private class is $200, which usually equates to about 4-5 people depending on the project
What is the maximum class size? Our studio is designed to accommodate 12-16 creators. The size of the project depicts the maximum number. If your party has more than 16 participants we can explore hosting a remote class.
What does as private class include? All material supplies.
Can we bring in food & drinks? ABSOLUTELY!
What if we must cancel the class? The deposit is not refundable; however, it can be applied towards another date. Keep in mind that when a class is booked, supplies and materials are purchased for that class. Therefore, we are not able to provide a refund.
What if the instructor has an emergency or can’t teach the class? Don’t worry we have 4 instructors that can fill their shoes!
